Journals written during voyages to and from England, May 1767 to October 1768 and August 1783 to September 1784; journal of a trip to Charleston, South Carolina, November 1772 to January 1773; journal of a trip to parts of Pennsylvania and Winchester, Virginia with John Townsend, April 1787 to June 1787; journal of a trip to Newport, Rhode Island by stage and boat to marry Hannah Rodman, May 1793 to June 1793. In most places he attended Friends meetings.
